Sunday night.

Ryan and I just got done with dinner.
I made a baked ziti recipe from my Rachael Ray cookbook.
I didn't think it was possible to make bad ziti, but I stand corrected.
It was really bland and yucky.
But we ate it because Ryan needs all the carbs he can get for his PT test tomorrow.

Once he is done with his PT test there is nothing left to do but wait.
Sometime in the coming week we will find out what he will be flying for the next 6 years.
Dun Dun Dun!!!!
Pretty exciting stuff, but if you ask me, any way it goes he still wins.
Like he told me a long time ago, even the very last guy who selects gets to fly a helicopter.

We went out to a birthday dinner of Friday night at the nicest restaurant in the area.
Which really isn't saying a lot but it is the place you would go for an anniversary.
There ended up being way too many people crammed in our private room.
Naturally, since it was mostly flight students it got a little rowdy in there.
No one seemed to mind though, and the food was decent.
I don't think we will be going back but the restaurant itself was beautiful.
It's an old hotel and there is dark wood work everywhere and soft lighting.
Very romantic, for sure.

Saturday we just hung around the house and read our books.
Ryan finished a book in two days, I think that is a record for him.
Apparently it was an awesome book because it was all he talked about this weekend.
It's really nice to lounge around and have Ryan not worried about a test the next day.
It was the first real Sunday we have had in a while.

Tomorrow after Ryan gets home from his run we are going to head to Dothan.
The library here doesn't have the books I want so hopefully they will.
Also I am dying to have some Thai noodle soup at the restaurant Ryan took me to last week.
Plus I found these really cool art projects in my Martha Stewart Craft book so I want to stop by Michaels.

Alright, time to go crawl into bed.

First day of hold.

I am so glad that Ryan is now on hold.
He ended up making an overall 92 on his checkride which is obviously awesome!
So now we just have to sit and wait until the Army is ready to tell us what he will fly for the rest of his career.

We took the dogs to Petsmart today to get baths because neither one of us was in the mood and they really needed it.
Duke came out with blood all over his foot because they had cut his nail.
Apparently they thought we would just take him home with blood dripping out of his claw and his white paw covered in blood.
Awesome! Way to go Petsmart!
Of course, we told them to wash it off and we wouldn't leave with it bleeding.
Now he is home, foot semi clean but he stinks like copper from the blood.
I am thinking I will call them tomorrow and request they bathe him again.

I took a couple of pics of the boys.
So here ya go.

Duke shanking my hand. What a good boy.

Devil Murphy protecting his new toy.

And back to work he goes.

Last night we went over to a friends house to celebrate the end of the initial training Ryan and his buddies went through. His wife made us dinner and she made this really yummy dessert so I took a picture. Its from Pampered Chef.

Anyway, other than the Petsmart problems we had a pretty good day today. Ryan took me to eat Thai food even though he hates it. But I really loved it. So I was a happy girl. Then we stopped by Ryan's stick buddies house to see how he was doing. Then Ryan for once went with me to go grocery shopping it was a lot more fun than going alone all of the time.

Okay I have to go finish making my jalapeno turkey breast.

I took some pics tonight.

And also I found some on the camera that my computer says its never seen before.
So I will post some highlights.

Here is a pie/cake (I'm really not sure what it is considered) that I made before my mil and dil got here last week.

Here is a picture I found on the camera, apparently Ryan thought it was really funny to take pics of me before my surgery.

And here is one he took afterward. Yes, it is awful but I think its funny.

Here is a picture that Troy took of Ryan hovering the other day. Pretty cool picture.

And here is a pic I forced Ryan to take.

Okay I'm tired now.

Byebye.

Ryan is taking his check ride right NOW!

Of course I don't want to jinx (yes, I definitely had to google how to spell that.) it or anything.
I think he will do really well but anyone who knows Ryan knows he finds a way to bum himself out before anything big.
Last night he came home saying that he has the worst day flying since he started BWS and that it was some sort of omen that he would fail his check ride.
I tried to explain to him that no matter how his flight went yesterday, his little mind would devise some plan to "prove" to him he would fail.
For instance, if he would have done really great, then he would have come home saying 'that he just couldnt fly that well twice and that on his check ride he would screw up'.
Or if he just had an average day, he would say 'oh, i should be way better by this point i bet i will barely pass tomorrow'.
I have no idea where that comes from but he does it every single time.

In other news, I am feeling much better today.
I even shaved my legs in the shower, up until this point is has hurt to bend over because of the incision in my belly button but today it didn't bother me too much.
I think it must have been the huge cup of hot chocolate i had before bed.
Yep, that must be it.
Take note, hot chocolate heals all ailments.

My doctor never called me back yesterday so I still do not know the game plan.
I really like to have a plan and I feel pretty lost right now.
I know what the surgeon thought of the findings but I would really like to know what MY doctor thinks.
I hope we can try another round next month.

I read the first book and half of the second book in the Vampire Diaries series last night.
I think that Stephanie Meyers may have accidentally plagerized the poop out of that book.
I read that she came up with the idea for Twilight from a dream, but I think it was more like she read this series and then fell asleep thinking about.
These books were written in the early ninties and the similarities are uncanny.
Although this series is a little less teeny.
More violence and more passion.

I will probably go to the library and get the other two this afternoon.
I owe them a dollar, I think they are mad at me.
I really need to start carrying cash with me.
I can feel them judging me when they see that naughty late book fee on my account.

Okay, Murphy is barking, I am going to go beat him now. Just kidding, kinda.

I cannot wait!!!

This was the first Nicholas Sparks book that I ever read. I was coming off a Twlight high and Sarah gave me a box of his books. I chose this one because it was military related. Oh man I am so pumped they decided to make it into a movie!!

Well here goes nothing..

I am really not sure why I decided to start blogging.
Maybe I just need to get things out of my head and into the world.
We will see how long this lasts...

I am already pretty overwhelmed by maintaining this site.
There are so many options and I have seen so many cools pages by clicking the "next blog" button but when I tried to make mine look awesome like the ones that I have seen, I failed.
Maybe if I am still updating this in a couple of weeks, I will sit down and try to figure this thing out.

Ryan has his check ride for BWS tomorrow.
I know that we have been here a long time but it just doesn't feel like it could be possible.
It seems like a couple of weeks ago we were worrying about his primary check ride.
I know he will do great tomorrow, and I am glad that he is not as worried about this one as he has been about other check rides in the past.

I had my laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and chromotubation last Thursday.
The only thing the doctor found was some scar tissue that had formed on my left side.
Hopefully this had something to do with our lack of success thus far.
Maybe we will get preggo next cycle??
I am so glad that my in-laws were able to come and be there with me.
Just thinking about having to go into surgery, or check into the hospital by myself is depressing.
It really makes you realize just how alone you are when you are in the military.
Although I know that I have some great friends here, its just hard to ask for things like that.
Anyway, I have a call into my Dr. we will see what he has to say about the findings.

So yeah, big week.
Hopefully Ryan will get whatever it is he decides he wants next week.
Since we all know he changes his mind daily.
