Here are some pictures of our little birthday party for Aunt Mary's 80th Birthday.

I was accused of putting trick candles on the cake after both Aunt Mary and Ryan were unable to blow them out.
I had to take charge and do it myself, they were NOT trick candles, haha!

This week I have received three packages in the mail!
Getting mail if my favorite thing, so I have to show off my goodies :)

Cassie and Andrew sent us an electric fly zapper/swatter!
We could not stop laughing when we opened their package.
This thing is seriously dangerous.
When they came to visit us, we spent much of our time stalking flies with our crappy orange flyswatter.
Now those demon flies don't stand a chance.
They also sent us a new picture of Colin.
His little teeth are the cutest thing ever.

She is too cute.

I already changed my purse over because this bag is beautiful!

I am also sporting four of the six bracelets that she and Clara picked out for me.

And of course my masterpiece by Clara is proudly displayed on our fridge.

We also received a Valentine's Day gift from Mom and Dad Holz.

Ryan left for the Big Island and I don't think there will be any candy left for him when he returns.

I have had to hid the lady bug from Murphy because he is obsessed with this toy.



We are so blessed to have such loving friends and family.

Welcome to the Educational Administration program you should be receiving your admit letter from the Graduate Admissions Office within two weeks. Once you receive your admit letter you will need to turn in your SIR to the Graduate Admissions Office as soon as possible so that they may update your records for you to register for classes.


Once Graduate Admissions Office updates your record, if you do not have a hawaii.edu email address please get one and email it to me so that I can update your email address. I will at times send you updates on the classes being offered or canceled.


I will be sending you the class list soon. Email me which classes you would like to take and I will enter the approval code so that you will be able to register for the classes. Don’t forget to email me as soon as possible because classes fill up fast and I would like to accommodate you as best as I can.


Once again welcome to the program and I am sure you will have a wonderful experience as you work toward your degree.

What's up... Thursday night?

And now for an update.

- I had my first midterm today at UH, the scores are supposed to be posted tomorrow (AHH!)
- I learned all of the islands of Polynesia.
- I am halfway through my first set of 8 week courses at OU.
- I have been "clean eating" for one week now and I really like it.
- Ryan has cooked dinner the past two nights in an effort to ease my load (What a sweetie, right?)
- I have kept the same flowers in my boxes outside for over a month now (New record!).
- No new doctor news.
- Ryan is still making an "A" in his course.
- He flew around the producers of Hawaii Five-O on Tuesday. Here are two pics:

- Ryan leaves for 10 days of training on the Big Island on the 18th.
- Duke and Murphy are as rowdy as ever.

Dear Near Graduate:


Congratulations! As a result of your high academic achievement, you will be graduating with academic distinction from the College of Liberal Studies.
All undergraduate students graduating with academic distinction are entitled to wear a specially-designed gold hood over their academic regalia at the May 13 Commencement and May 14 College Convocation ceremonies.  You have qualified to wear such a hood. 

It then goes on to talkabout specific dates for picking up these super scooby gold hoods.
Anyway, it made me feel pretty special.

100th Post!

Wow, I really talk a lot.
This is my 100th blog!!
So since it is a milestone, I will stick to happy, good things to celebrate.

1. Ryan got promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 2 today :) That's me "pinning" him on.

2. I finally (three weeks into my classes) got (almost) all of my textbooks!

3. I completely finished my grad school application and submitted it Thursday (cross your fingers!).

4. I learned all of the islands of Hawaii.

5. Ryan is flying a lot!

6. Ryan is making an "A" in his college class.

7. We are beginning the process of moving our embryos.

8. Ryan gets to go to the Big Island for training for 10 days of cool training.

9. Aunt Mary and Uncle Pat are coming to visit in a little over a week.

10. We are tenatively scheduled for embyro transfer the middle of April.

11. I finally found a "bed" Duke will actually sleep on; it's a folded up comforter laying on the floor. Expensive dog beds? No way, give me a ratty old blanket! 

12. We converted Duke's giant crate into an apartment for Murphy. He hangs out there all the time. I think he liked his privacy. He has his bed and all his toys set up in there.

Well, that's all I've got for now.
